Tractatus De Igne, Aqua, Electricitate

Collection of several interesting manuscripts in Latin, including treatises on the elements fire and water, electricity, meteors, minerals and the anatomy of the human body. All written in a steady, legible script.

The manuscript contains the following parts:

• 'Tractatus De Igne' 94 handwritten leaves, dated January 1773.
• 'Tractatus De Aqua eisque proprietatibus' 42 handwritten leaves, dated February 1773.
• 'Tractatus De Electricate' 66 handwritten leaves, dated 1772.
• 'Tractatus De Meteoris' 40 handwritten leaves.
• 'Tractatus De Mundo Subterraeneo seu De Regno minerali' 60 handwritten leaves, dated April 1773.
• 'Questiones De Mundo Subettaneo' 5 handwritten leaves.
• 'Tractatus De anatomia Corporis humani' 71 handwritten leaves, dated April 1773.

Good. Bound in original marbled paper wraps and measures approximately 20x16cm. Binding is somewhat worn, but still intact. Heavy rubbing and soiling to wraps and a brown (ink?) stain that is present on front wrap and first 8 leaves, else internally clean. Small spots of aging throughout. Thick deckled page edges and a loose wax seal at first endpaper.
