Henry G. Bohn, 1859. Twelfth edition, bound by Root & Son London. A beautifully bound copy of this famous Christian allegory by John Bunyan. The Pilgrim's Progress Progress was originally written in 1678 and is regarded as one of the most significant works of religious literature. The work has been translated into more than 200 languages and has never been out of print. 

Near fine. Quarter bound in leather with raised bands and gilt edges. Forty illustrations, comprising of plates and vignettes. Binding is tight and pages are clean and unmarked, aside from inscription from previous owner. Boards have wear and chipping at corners, edges, and spine ends.
