N.B. Duchesne: Londres - Paris, 1759-1777. "Historical Essays on Paris" complete in 7 volumes. One of the most famous historical, anecdotal and picturesque works on Paris, which first appeared in 1754-58. New edition, revised, corrected and augmented. Volumes 1 to 3 are dated 1759, volume 4 contains the first supplement dated 1763, volumes 5 through 7 dating 1763-1777 form the second supplement. All text in French.
Book: Very good. Dust jacket: None. Bound in marbled calfskin, decorated with ribbed spines (except for volume 7), title and volume numbers in havana morocco (volumes 1 to 5) and in red morocco (volumes 6 and 7), blind fillet framing the covers of volume 7, red page edges. A few worn corners and caps, scuffing at the top of volume 2, a handful of small worm pittings, slight beginning of a split on a few hinges, some crude restorations, pale water staining at the bottom of the pages of volume 3. Overall, very good condition.
