Dune

Chilton Book Company, 1972. First edition, fourth printing. A very scarce early printing of this beloved science fiction novel, the first in the Dune series published in 1965.

Book: Very good. Dust jacket: Very good. Jacket is now protected in mylar sleeve but previously sustained some wear. Small tears to both sides of of spine at top and bottom. Mild creases and faint chipping around the edges, mostly limited to spine ends and rear cover. Spotty staining to top left corner of back cover and top corner of rear portion of text block. Faint staining to bottom edge of front board, but otherwise boards are straight and clean with bumped corners and softened spine ends. Spine leans though hinges remain intact. A few instances of very mildly split binding, mostly limited near beginning and end of text block. Faint stain to fore edge of front free endpaper and first three pages, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned.
