Includes: Sartor Resartus, Lectures on Heroes, Hero-Worship, The French Revolution Vol I-II, Oliver Cromwell's Letters and Speeches with Elucidations Vol I-III, Frederick the Great Vol I-VII, Essays I-IV.

Book: Acceptable. Dust jacket: None. Volumes bound in three quarter morocco over marbled boards with gilt lettering and decoration on spine, marbled endpapers and gilt top edges. Pages are unmarked except for previous owner's inscription on front endpaper of Sartor Resartus. Most hinges cracked and binding starting throughout, boards separating from textblock on one side of French Revolution and Oliver Cromwell II. Essays I has water damage: text block has detached completely from boards, all pages are dampstained and rippled at the bottom (text still legible), bottom of spine is partially ripped at both gutters and dampstained. Essays II and Oliver Cromwell I spines are partially ripped down one gutter. Otherwise moderate shelf wear to boards with scuffed and chipped corners and spine ends.
