D. Appleton and Company, 1863. Very early printing just two years after the first American printing in 1961.
Acceptable. Boards are firm despite scuffing on corners, minor tears in spine including a small missing portion from the head, and other shelf wear. Light foxing on interior of both boards and endpapers. Pages are bright and unmarked aside from previous owner's signatures inside front cover and a large newspaper clipping stain in-between pages 168-169. Partial sunning on the cover and pages with a dark, but faded, top stain.
